Scandinavia vs Norden
Scandinavia generally refers to Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Norden or the Nordic region, includes more countries than Scandinavia. So, you could say all Scandinavians are Nordic, but not all Nords are Scandinavian.
Also, all vikings were Scandinavian, but not all Scandinavians were viking. Nords are also considered vikings, because some Nords are Scandinavians.
All of the Nordic countries and regions
Generally, there are five countries that are classified as "Nordic". These countries are as follows:
Sweden (Sverige)
Denmark (Danmark)
Finland (Suomi)
Iceland (Ísland)
Norway (Norge)
There are also other places that can be considered a part of the Nordic region. These other places include:
Faroe Islands (Føroyar/ Færøerne)
Greenland (Kalaallit Nunaat/ Grønland)
Åland Islands (Ett land)
